We will show you 8.\n\none: JavaScript\nPrince supports JavaScript so that programmers can\nachieve effects not possible in HTML and CSS along.\nFor example, this document has a small script that au-\ntomatically generates a table of contents:\n\nJavaScript..................... 1\nMore JavaScript .......... 1\nCSS3 columns ............. 1\nStyling pages................ 1\n\nCSS3 transforms..........1\nBackground images.....2\nCSS3 selectors..............2\nMore transforms .........2\n\ntwo: More JavaScript\nThis document lists 8 numbered features. Notice that the\n\nfirst three features are numbered with spelled-out numbers,\n\nwhile the rest use digits. This is achieved with a small script\n\nthat exchanges digits for letters when the number is three or\n\nsmaller.\n\nthree: CSS3 columns\nThis document is laid out in two columns on the\nfirst page. The next pages are more narrow and\ntherefore only has room for one column. The\nnumber of columns is automatically adjusted based\non the available width.\n\n4: Styling pages\nThe second page of this document is different from the first: it’s up-\n\nright and it has no background image. This is achieved by styling\n\npages instead of elements.\n\n5: CSS3 transforms\nCSS3 introduces transforms, which can be used to scale and\n\n\n\nrotate elements. «Prince» is rotated 90 degerees on the right.\nAlso, it has been moved to a margin box so that it appears\noutside the normal text flow.\n\n6: Background images\nThe image on the right is used as the\n\nbackground image on the first page.\n\nThere, only part of the image is visible.\n\nThis is achieved by carefully setting the\n\nposition and pixel-density of the image.\n\nAlso, notice how the background image is\n\n«bleeding»; it extends slightly outside the\n\npage to avoid white edges when the paper\n\nis cut.\n\n7: CSS3 selectors\nNotice how every other item in our list of eight is in italics. This is achieved by\nselecting and styling even-numbered items.\n\n8: More transforms\nTransforms can be applied to images as well as text. Below is the blue-sky background im-\n\nage rotated at various angles.\n\nPrince\n\n\n\tBlue-sky printing\n\tJavaScript\n\tMore JavaScript\n\tCSS3 columns\n\tStyling pages\n\tCSS3 transforms\n\tBackground images\n\tCSS3 selectors\n\tMore transforms\n\tPrince\n\n\n\n","pdf:annotationTypes":"null","access_permission:can_modify":"true","pdf:docinfo:producer":"Prince 20160617 (www.princexml.com)","pdf:annotationSubtypes":"Link","pdf:containsDamagedFont":"false"},{"Number of Tables":"4 Huffman tables","Compression Type":"Baseline","X-TIKA:embedded_id_path":"/1","Data Precision":"8 bits","Number of Components":"3","tiff:ImageLength":"683","Component 2":"Cb component: Quantization table 1, Sampling factors 1 horiz/1 vert","Component 1":"Y component: Quantization table 0, Sampling factors 2 horiz/2 vert","File Size":"58608 bytes","Component 3":"Cr component: Quantization table 1, Sampling factors 1 horiz/1 vert","embeddedResourceType":"INLINE","File Name":"apache-tika-7252586456801850066.jpg","tiff:BitsPerSample":"8","X-TIKA:embedded_id":"1","Content-Type":"image/jpeg","X-TIKA:final_embedded_resource_path":"/image0.jpg","File Modified Date":"Sat Aug 15 03:13:06 +04:00 2026","resourceName":"image0.jpg","pdf:hasXMP":"false","Image Height":"683 pixels","tika_pg:page_number":"1","Image Width":"1024 pixels","Content-Type-Parser-Override":"image/ocr-jpeg","X-TIKA:Parsed-By":["org.apache.tika.parser.DefaultParser","org.apache.tika.parser.image.JpegParser","org.apache.tika.parser.ocr.TesseractOCRParser"],"X-TIKA:embedded_depth":"1","X-TIKA:parse_time_millis":"191","X-TIKA:embedded_resource_path":"/image0.jpg","tiff:ImageWidth":"1024"}]
